What’s driving convergence all over the world? Is it the quest from operators for new sources of revenue? Or is it the user who is more demanding as technology evolves?

IPTV is becoming reality in Latin America. However, it shall still face a few challenges: strong competition from cable operators, intensive investment requirements and addressable market with different demands and priorities than developed markets. How will IPTV evolve in Latin America from 2008 on? Does it need to be redesigned starting from the European model? Will it be a VOD-only service? Will it increase Pay-TV competition and penetration or will it be just a small part of fixed telcos business?
